The Friends Forever Club, a Cape Coast-based social club, has donated medical items worth more than GH¢10,000.00 to the Mokwa Model Health Centre in the Twifo Atti-Morkwa District of the Central Region.
The club said the donation formed part of its philanthropic responsibility. The items include wheelchairs, walkers, weighing scales, blood pressure monitors, blood glucose monitors and blood glucose test strips, among others.
The donation was made during a courtesy call on the Chief of Mokwa, Saturday, 19th Sept 2026 at Mokwa in Twifo Ati Mokwa District, Central Region.
Mr Emmanuel Arthur, Physician Assistant at the health centre, expressed appreciation to the club and described the donation as timely.
He said the facility was in dire need of the items. He also appealed for additional support, including a full blood count machine, an additional power source such as a plant or generator, and standard patient beds.
Professor Benjamin Kweku Anderson, Vice President of the club, reaffirmed the club’s commitment to supporting institutions and facilities in need.
Mr Frank Mbeah Koufie, a patron of the club, stressed the need for social clubs to support state institutions and health facilities.
