The Ashanti Regional Minister, Frank Amoakohene, has urged students belonging to the National Democratic Congress (NDC) to be confident in their political party.
According to him, they need to be assured that the NDC is 1000 times better than the New Patriotic Party (NPP).
“Remain focused, know the key interventions government is engaged in, know the things government is doing for the youth and be well positioned that the NDC is one thousand times better than the NPP and I will repeat this time without number,” he said at a KNUST TEIN event.
He noted that doing politics in the Ashanti Region as a member of the NDC is difficult; however, with persistence and an enduring spirit, they can sell the party’s message to the masses in the region.
“It is a difficult terrain, so if you are a young leader and you want to do your politics here in the Ashanti Region, then you should develop the tenacity to withstand any accusation,” he said.
He believes that the attacks on his person by the opposition is good for the NDC in the region because instead of marketing their candidate, they focus their energies on attacking him.
According to him, he believes that the attacks give the President the peace of mind to work as they are not directed to him like they were prior to the 2016 elections.
