The Presiding Bishop of the African Methodist Episcopal Zion Church (AME Zion Church), Rt. Rev. Dr. Hilliard K. Dela Dogbe, has advised the 2028 New Patriotic Party flagbearer, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, to remain focused and faithful in his leadership journey.
Bishop Dogbe was speaking during a consultative meeting between the leadership of the Christian Council of Ghana and a delegation from the NPP led by Dr. Bawumia on Thursday, June 11.
The meeting centred on national development, unity and collaboration between political and religious institutions to promote peace and progress.
"Stay focused self faithfully, and stand firm on the principles that brought you into the leadership," he said.
He further cautioned the NPP flagbearer against distractions, stressing the need for consistency and discernment in public leadership.
According to him, success in leadership is strongly influenced by the people one surrounds oneself with, as well as adherence to guiding principles.
"Be focused on your message, be focused on everything that you stand for... continue to be faithful," he stressed.
Bishop Dogbe also praised Dr. Bawumia’s character, describing him as a person who consistently shows respect and integrity in all engagements.
He expressed optimism that continued commitment to these values would guide the NPP flagbearer’s political journey and future ambitions.
