Veteran Ghanaian actor Mikki Osei Berko has been enstooled as regent of the Adamorobe Traditional Area in the Eastern Region.
The ceremony took place on Friday, April 24, 2026, where he was given the stool name Nana Osei Boakye Yiadom II.
A video from the event, which has since gone viral, showed the actor dressed in traditional fugu with shorts as he performed the rites. Two community leaders guided him to sit on the stool three times, after which powder was poured on him to signify the completion of the enstoolment.
Born in 1973, Osei Berko is widely known for his roles in the television series Taxi Driver and Dada Boat. He has also worked in radio and advertising.
His enstoolment has drawn widespread reactions on social media, with many congratulating him as he assumes his new role within the community.
