He further stressed that excuses have no place in journalism, advising students to embrace every opportunity wholeheartedly and put in their best effort.
"Excuses have no place in the field of journalism. Whenever you are given an opportunity, embrace it wholeheartedly and put in your best effort," he added.
According to him, avoiding excuses is crucial for both personal growth and professional success.
Mistakes in Journalism
Mr. Adinkra also reassured students that making mistakes is a natural part of the learning process. Instead of fearing failure, he encouraged them to learn from their errors and continuously improve. "Mistakes are bound to happen, but they should not hold you back," he said.
The event aimed to prepare journalism students for the realities of the media industry. Mr. Adinkra’s speech left many students inspired, reinforcing the importance of resilience, confidence, and a proactive approach in their careers.
