Nkwanta North NDC supporters demand ministerial position for MP

The youth wing of the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the Nkwanta North constituency of the Oti Region has made a passionate appeal to President John Dramani Mahama to appoint their Member of Parliament (MP), John Oti Bless, to a ministerial position.

The group said, during the Election 2024 campaign period, President Mahama assured them of his commitment to appointing capable leaders, who had demonstrated dedication to their communities.

They highlighted Oti Bless's extensive experience, including his previous role as Deputy Minister of Local Government, the Chairman of the Sanitation Unit, Ranking Member of the Roads and Highways Committee, and other key positions held in the Eighth Parliament, which they believed made him highly qualified for a ministerial position.

Baba Abubakar Alhassan, the Nkwanta North NDC Zongo Caucus Coordinator, expressed their unwavering support for Oti Bless, emphasising his dedication and hard work since assuming office in 2012.

“Our MP has been a steadfast advocate for the needs and aspirations of the Nkwanta North constituency, and it is crucial that his efforts are recognised at the national level, especially as we look towards the formation of a new government,” he stated.

The Zongo Caucus Coordinator further noted that the youth believe appointing Oti Bless to a ministerial role would not only reward his commitment but also enhance the development of the Nkwanta North constituency.
