Mr. Ben Siki Abibu, Volta Regional Organizer of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) and Political Coordinator for the Volta Region at the Jubilee House, has toured several ongoing infrastructure projects in the South Dayi Constituency to assess their progress and ensure timely delivery.

The inspection tour formed part of efforts by the government to monitor the implementation of critical development projects and ensure value for money.

Mr. Abibu was accompanied by the District Chief Executive for South Dayi, Mr. Courage Kwame Kokroko, as well as district works engineers and technical officers. During the visit, the team assessed the pace and quality of work on a number of projects and reminded contractors that government was closely monitoring their performance.

According to a statement jointly signed by Mr. Jonas Anyadi, NDC Constituency Communications Officer, and Mr. Emmanuel Amoah, Deputy Constituency Communications Officer, the tour focused primarily on GETFund-supported projects in the constituency.

The statement said the exercise was intended to evaluate the impact of ongoing projects in key sectors, including education, healthcare, housing, and transportation.

Among the projects inspected was the College of Health Sciences at Tongor-Tsanakpe, which the statement described as a strategic investment aimed at strengthening healthcare training and human resource development in the Volta Region.

The delegation also visited the 24.07-kilometre Todome-Kpalime to Tongor-Dzemeni Road project, which is expected to improve transportation, facilitate trade, and enhance access to essential services for communities along the corridor.

Another project inspected was the Kpali State Senior High School at Todome-Kpalime, which is intended to expand access to quality secondary education in the area.

The team further toured the Affordable Housing Project at Kpeve, a government initiative aimed at addressing housing challenges and improving living conditions for residents.

Following the South Dayi assessment, the delegation proceeded to the Ho West District to continue its review of development projects across the region.

Speaking during the tour, Mr. Abibu commended the leadership of the Member of Parliament for South Dayi and Majority Chief Whip, Mr. Rockson-Nelson Kwami Etse Dafeamekpor, as well as the District Chief Executive, Mr. Courage Kokroko, for their roles in advancing development within the constituency.

He noted that retaining experienced legislators over multiple terms contributes to policy continuity and accelerates constituency development.

Mr. Abibu also praised Mr. Dafeamekpor for his advocacy on behalf of the constituency and the nation, describing him as “a formidable voice for Ghana’s progress.”

He expressed appreciation to the engineers, officials, and community stakeholders who supported the exercise and thanked God for a successful and incident-free tour.

“Together, we are building a South Dayi that works for all. Our mandate is clear: transform policy into projects, and projects into improved lives. The NDC does not make promises in the abstract – we deliver on the ground,” Mr Abibu stated.

The statement further expressed gratitude to Mr. Dafeamekpor for his efforts in attracting development projects to the constituency and commended Mr. Kokroko for his leadership at the district level.

“We remain grateful for the insights and direction provided by Mr Abibu, whose coordination continues to strengthen the party’s development agenda in the Volta Region,” the statement stated.
