Prophet Emmanuel Badu Kobi, the Founder and Leader of Glorious Wave Church International, has defended Rev. Victor Kusi Boateng following the latter’s failed prophecy about the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) victory in the 2024 general elections.
Ahead of the December 7 polls, Rev. Kusi Boateng prophesied a resounding first-round victory for the NPP in both presidential and parliamentary elections.
However, the party suffered a shocking and humiliating defeat, losing by over 1.6million votes, the worst in history.
In a sermon shared on social media, Prophet Badu Kobi stated that Rev. Kusi Boateng’s failed prediction does not make him a false prophet.
He attributed the outcome to a divine decision, emphasizing that God deliberately withheld the fulfillment of the prophecy.
“God told me, ‘I love Prophet Kusi Boateng… I have given him power—that is why what he says comes to pass. In fact, until 2024, everything he said had been fulfilled. But for this one, I am not giving it to him; I will give it to you,’” Badu Kobi said.
He added that despite the failed prophecy, Rev. Kusi Boateng remains “a great man of God” and “is destined for greatness.”
Prophet Badu Kobi noted that God’s decision was not an indictment of Rev. Kusi Boateng’s credibility as a prophet.
“Anyone can speak against him, but what did God say to me about him? ‘He is powerful, great, but this is not for him.’”
