The NDC Caucus in Parliament are not backing down, painting an ugly spectacle for Tuesday when the MPs meet in Parliament.

They insist they remain the Majority in Parliament despite the Supreme Court ruling suspending Speaker of Parliament Alban Bagbin’s ruling that declared four parliamentary seats vacant for switching political allegiance.

At a press conference today Sunday October 20, Member of Parliament for Ajumako Enyan Esiam, Dr Ato Forson said they will jealously guard their new status as Majority Caucus.

He said they will never retreat or surrender their new status that was lawfully earned.

According to him, the Speaker of Parliament conduct was lawful.

He insists that the Caucus will begin repealing some obnoxious taxes introduced by the Akufo-Addo-led government, first, the e-Levy and betting tax.

On the Supreme Court riling, MP for Bawku Central Mahama Ayariga said the Caucus is not aware of any Supreme Court ruling.

He indicated that the Caucus would act on communication from the Speaker of Parliament, saying "If he says we should all enter the sea we will enter."

According to him, they don't act on social media reports.

NPP Caucus
The New Patriotic Party Caucus boycotted Parliament in protest of Speaker of Parliament ruling that didn't go in their favour on Thursday October 17.

The Caucus led by the Member of Parliament for Effutu Alexander Afenyo-Markin said they will continue to boycott Parliament until Supreme Court rules on the ex parte application he filed on the matter at the apex court.

The Supreme Court on Friday October 18 granted a Stay of Execution on the Speaker of Parliament’s ruling, in other words, suspended Speaker of Parliament’s ruling that declared four parliamentary seats vacant.

The rumpus
Satisfied with Supreme Court ruling, it is expected that the NPP MPs would suspended their boycott and return to Parliament on Tuesday in what many say will be a showdown over who sits on the Majority side.

In fact Ndc party leaders are treacherous people. Nation wreckers who don't deserve to be given the chance to govern the country. They should try any nonsense and the Army will sort them out.
