The Ghana Police Service has announced the next phase of its 2024 recruitment exercise, with shortlisted candidates set to sit for an entrance examination on Saturday, October 12.
This follows the initial announcement of the recruitment process in August this year.
According to a statement released by the Public Affairs Directorate of the Police Service, candidates who have successfully advanced to this stage are advised to check their emails and text messages for further instructions on the upcoming exam.
The examination will be conducted simultaneously across all sixteen regional capitals of Ghana.
“The shortlisted candidates have been invited to write an examination on Saturday, 12th October 2024, as part of the requirement for this stage of the exercise,” the statement read.
The Police Service also provided a comprehensive list of examination centers across the regions.
Notable venues include the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, and the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
The law enforcement agency further issued a stern warning to the public to beware of fraudulent schemes associated with the recruitment process.
“We wish to caution the public, particularly the candidates, that there is no payment of money involved, and therefore, anyone who demands money from any person should be considered a fraudster and must be reported to the Police,” Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Assistant Commissioner of Police and Director of Public Affairs, emphasized in the release.
