2024 police recruitment: Report anyone who demands money from you — Public urged

The Ghana Police Service has issued a strong warning to the public against falling victim to fraudsters in connection with the 2024 recruitment exercise.

In a press release dated October 8, the Police Service stressed that no money is required at any stage of the recruitment process and urged the public to report anyone who demands payment.

“We wish to caution the public, particularly the candidates, that there is no payment of money involved, and therefore, anyone who demands money from any person should be considered a fraudster and must be reported to the Police,” the statement signed by Assistant Commissioner of Police Grace Ansah-Akrofi, Director of Public Affairs, emphasized.

This warning comes as the recruitment exercise moves into the next phase, with shortlisted candidates set to sit for an entrance examination on Saturday, October 12.

The examination will be conducted at designated centers across all sixteen regional capitals of Ghana.

Candidates have been directed to check their emails and text messages for specific instructions on the upcoming test.

The Police Service has also outlined the various examination centers where candidates will take their tests.

Some of the major venues include the University of Professional Studies, Accra (UPSA), the Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST) in Kumasi, and the University of Cape Coast (UCC).
