Ghanaian rapper and entrepreneur Okyeame Kwame has outlined specific criteria any potential candidate in the 2024 general elections must meet to earn his vote, including being under 60 years of age.
In a social media post on Monday, September 16, the renowned musician listed 13 qualities and areas of focus an ideal candidate should possess or prioritize.
"Any politician who wants my vote must be under 60 years old," Okyeame Kwame wrote.
The rapper said candidates must demonstrate integrity, champion constitutional reform, care about issues like global warming, technology and innovation.
They should also be committed to agriculture, water and food security as well as mental healthcare and youth development.
"Candidates must also have successfully managed a business and not be ashamed of past mistakes," he stated. "I want someone who has a reputation for making tough decisions by firing and hiring when needed."
The 48-year-old entertainer emphasized the need for leadership that reflects Ghana's youthful population and understands modern challenges.
