The filing of nomination forms by the New Patriotic Party (NPP) parliamentary candidate for Nkoranza South, Harriet Oppong Akyeremanteng, was successfully completed yesterday at the district office of the Electoral Commission (EC).
The candidate, accompanied by her campaign team, arrived at the district office around 2 pm and was warmly received by party supporters and sympathizers.
In her brief address after filing her nomination forms, Madam Harriet Oppong Akyeremanteng expressed her gratitude to the constituents for their continuous support and promised to work hard to retain the seat for the NPP in the upcoming 2024 general elections.
She also called for peace and unity among party members and urged them to come together and work towards the victory of the NPP in the December 7 polls.
The NPP parliamentary candidate is expected to face stiff competition from other political parties and independent candidates in the race for the Nkoranza South parliamentary seat in the December polls.
However, with her successful filing of nomination forms, Madam Harriet Oppong Akyeremanteng is confident of retaining the seat for the NPP and contributing to the development of the constituency and the country at large.
