Bernard Antwi Boasiako, widely known as Chairman Wontumi who is the Ashanti Regional Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), recently asserted with confidence that the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will be unable to thwart their victory in the 2024 general elections.
Chairman Wontumi claimed that the NPP has perfected the art of winning elections in Ghana.
"We know how to win the elections, the NDC can't stop us. We are ready, we have one million ways to win the election in 2024," he declared during the unveiling of Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh as the running mate to flagbearer Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia at the Jubilee Park in Kumasi on Tuesday, July 9.
President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo also conveyed his confidence in the Bawumia-Napo ticket, highlighting their capability to break the 8.
Speaking at an earlier event at the Manhyia Palace, President Akufo-Addo endorsed the duo, referencing his firsthand experience working with them.
"I have trust and confidence in the two of them to do the work. I have worked with the two and I know that they can do it. I know that on the 7th of December when Ghanaians have given them the mandate, they will work to meet the expectations of Ghana," he stated.
Reacting to these statements on the Oyerepa Breakfast morning show, former NPP stalwart Hopeson Adorye expressed his concerns.
He said, “If he [Chairman Wontumi] says they have one million ways of winning elections, it’s not a problem…this is because if a sitting government says this, it is obvious they want to rig the election. All the NPP guys are saying they’ll rig.
“This should tell you that in the first phase, they can clearly see that they’ve lost the election in advance. This is because if you’re really working as a government, the people will realise it in their pockets and not based on development.”

I have already said that they are calling for violence. If they have one million ways of winning, the majority of Ghanaians that have rejected Bawuliar and the Arrogant Matthew Opoku Prempeh, have two million ways to prevent them from stepping at the Flagstaff House. The truth is despised by a large portion of Ghanaians, particularly those connected to the NPP. They would rather ignore the facts because they rely on publications written by idiots that provide misleading information. "Ele...
