God, Save Ghana From These Predators

God, Save Ghana From These Predators
17.08.2023 LISTEN

Ghana is blessed with a hung Parliament under the second term of Nana Addo Danquah Akufo Addo, a man that has a similar orientation and a mindset of the French West African leaders.

Nana Addo could have re engineer Ghana's constitution if he had an absolute majority in this Parliament, which he had in the seventh Parliament.

The eight Parliament was uniquely constituted with National Democratic Congress and the New Patriotic Party having 137 members apiece and 20 Members of Parliament as women on each side of the divide with a Speaker from the opposition National Democratic Congress and above all a mystery, someone who was denigrated, insulted and sacked from the NPP before the 2020 general elections.

By divine intervention Mr Andrew Asiamah Amoako was elevated to the high office of a Second Deputy Speaker of Parliament in the eight Parliament. It was so sad Mr Andrew Asiamah Amoako MP for Fomena couldn't fathom the power and authority divinely conferred on him as the duty bearer who must effectively play the role of an independent umpire between the two power blocks.

Unfortunately he allowed his loyalty to the NPP to cloud is judgement and succumb to all dictates of those who dragged him on floor and attempted to end his political career.

Mr Andrew Asiamah Amoako MP for Fomena came back to Parliament as an Independent candidate and he's expected to operate as such, and should be the one to effectively tilt power in the legislature. A position he miserably abused with the tacit support of his detractors.

It's regrettable Mr Andrew Asiamah Amoako undermined the State Ghana by his blind parochial party interest, by consciously presiding over controversial motions as Speaker. One of the blunders that immediately came to mind was abruptly adjourning the house sine dine when he realized the numbers on the majority side wouldn't favour Mr Agyeman Manu, if he should call a vote on the censured motion on Agyeman Manu Minister of Health.

The conduct of Mr Andrew Asiamah Amoako portrayed the mindsets of people we queued and elect to represent us, unfortunately we elect people who are representing themselves and their political parties. The Executive has usurped the other Organs and treat them as stools, because the Legislature and the Judiciary have sublet their authorities consciously or unconsciously to executive control, hence their failure to check the excesses of the Executives.

People that the State entrusted and expected to utilize the scarce resources economically, efficiently and effectively and to maximize the resource envelope of the country, hence their offices are provided with all the comfort luxuries they required to enable them execute their duties in all honesty and fairness, not knowing most of them are enemies within who have engaged in all the corrupt malpractices that has brought our dear country to the state of misery and penury.

These characters are nation wreckers and there's no need for party propagandist defending people whose nemesis has caught up with them.
