Residents in Tema will today, Wednesday, 26 October 2022 sleep in darkness.
There will be total black out from 7 p.m. to 12 midnight in accordance with Ga custom to honour the departed Chief of Tema, Osonnaa Nii Adjei Kraku II.

As residents have been advised “to stay indoors during the period,” the Tema General Hospital has advised its staff, who will be working on the night shift to take precautions.
In a Memorandum to all departments of the hospital issued by the Management, staff who are scheduled for night shift are urged “to report to work by 5 p.m.”

It noted that “Staff who will be handing over and those taking up perform such activities in good time to enable their colleagues return home before the total blackout."
