Member of Parliament (MP) for Tamale North Constituency, Alhaji Alhassan Sayibu Suhuyini has touted his achievement in delivering healthcare in the Constituency as the best, rating it far above the Akufo-Addo-led government's in the area.
Alhaji Suhuyini's comments came in the wake of the recent exercise in the Constituency to commission three (3) healthcare facilities in the area, which falls under Sagnarigu Municipal.
He told journalists at a ceremony on Monday June 27, that apart from improving the quality of health care delivery in Tuunayili and Taha, the facilities will help protect the lands from encroachers.
“The importance of these facilities is not just the health that it will help provide, the fact that we will contribute to the reduction of maternal and infant mortality but also improve Antenatal Care.
“Again some of these projects are securing the Lands that are meant for the construction of health infrastructure in these communities. But for those structures those lands will be encroached upon by people and it becomes difficult in future when these institutions need to expand,” Alhaji Suhuyini added.
Tunaayili CHPS received a befitting reproductive and Child Health (RCH) care facility, Wardk CHPS got a newly built nurses quarters and Taha CHPS also received RCH as Tunaayili.
"Honestly speaking, my office as MP for Tamale North Constituency has performed better than Akufo-Addo led government in health and education sectors in the area. Be it the construction of classroom blocks to aide teaching and learning or health facilities to better healthcare delivery in the Tamale North Constituency," the MP said.
The Sagnarigu Municipal Health Director Mr. Gearge K. Abraham who received the keys to the facilities used the opportunity to thank Alhaji Suhuyini for his continuous support for healthcare delivery in the municipality.
