The Acting Managing Director at the Ghana Post Company Limited, Bice Osei Kuffour has stressed that his outfit is keen on riding on the back of technology to reach its full potential.
Despite failing to take advantage of technology in most parts of the last decade, Ghana Post is still estimated to hold 15 percent of the courier market share.
Speaking in an interview with Asempa FM on the ‘Ekosii sen’ programme, MD Bice Osei Kuffour bemoaned the fact that his outfit didn't take advantage of the emerging markets of technology but stressed that all is not lost.
He said having been charged to fully resuscitate the company, he is working with resources available to turn things around to ensure Ghana Post reaches its potential.
“Ghana Post didn't take advantage of the emerging markets of technology….It been good so far. I am impressed.
“We are using technology to meet the e-commerce market…Ghana Post Company Limited has so much potential. We can turn things around,” Bice Osei Kuffour shared in the interview.
Currently, Ghana Post is said to have a staff strength of over 2000 with 360 active post offices scattered across the country.
According to the MD, efforts are being made to capitalise on the staff strength and the many offices to become a leader in the space in which Ghana Post operates.
