The Fieve Traditional Council has won another lawsuit against Mr. Gabriel Dzamesi, this time, the council was sued Mr. Dzamesi for contempt.
The last time they won, the Sogakope Circuit Court dismissed Dzamesi's case against the Fieve Traditional Council. Mr. Dzamesi, unsatisfied with this result, announced he won on Radio.
However, his show of contempt for the Divisional Chief of Sogakope, Togbe Atsuga Sogah II, moved the Fieve Traditional Council to file this new lawsuit against him in 2020.
A year on, the Fieve Traditional Council won the case.
On Friday, 21st May 2021, they obtained an injunction against him via the Sogakope Circuit Court, restraining him from calling himself a stool father and interrupting in council matters. The court also fined him GHC 2,000.
The celebration at Togbe Atsuga Sogah’s palace on that Friday showed how much he appreciated this judgment on his uncle.
He said he thanked the Lord Almighty and his ancestors for this victory. His stool father, Francis Sogah, said the victory is for all. He called on everyone to join hands with the chief to build Sogakope.
