The Third National Vice Chairman of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Alhaji Osman Masawudu, popularly known as Chairman Buga Buga, has dismissed allegations that he took away the former girlfriend of Ghanaian musician Fancy Gadam.
The NPP executive has been trending on social media following reports surrounding his marriage to a woman who was previously linked to the popular Tamale-based musician.
However, Chairman Buga Buga has rejected claims that he interfered in the relationship, insisting that the two had already gone their separate ways before he met the woman.
According to him, the relationship between Fancy Gadam and the lady had ended publicly before he decided to pursue a relationship with her.
Speaking in an interview, he explained that there is no misunderstanding between him and the musician, adding that he has met Fancy Gadam only once and there has never been any confrontation between them.
“Fancy Gadam and I have no issue. I met him once at a restaurant in Accra. The claims that I snatched someone’s wife are not accurate because they were no longer together before I came into the picture,” he said.
Chairman Buga Buga further stated that he would not engage in a relationship with a woman who was still committed to another man, especially considering his public position.
He explained that after meeting the woman and getting to know her, he proceeded with marriage through the appropriate traditional and legal procedures.
He maintained that the marriage was based on mutual consent and respect, urging the public to disregard what he described as misleading narratives surrounding the issue.
