How Many Time Zones Are There In The World?

There are 24 time zones in the world.

This signifies that the Earth is divided into 24 'slices', and each time zone moves on one hour from the previous time zone and each 'slice', is 15O wide.

Time Zone One is that of Greenwich and, universal time (UT) which serves as a reference to the whole world and is calculated from this. To the west of Greenwich (towards America) the time decreases; to the east (towards Asia and Australia) the time increases.

So, if in Greenwich it is only 11 o'clock in the morning, in New York, it will be 6 o'clock in the morning, while in Sydney, Australia it will be 21:00 hours (9 o'clock) in the evening.
