Veteran Ghanaian actress Grace Omaboe, popularly known as Maame Dokono, has spoken about the realities of ageing in an emotional moment that has touched many social media users.
Maame Dokono made the remarks in a video shared on X during her arrival at the funeral of late actress Beverly Afaglo.
Reflecting on her younger years, the veteran actress recalled a time when she was full of energy and could confidently walk and dance in high heels.
She, however, acknowledged that age has changed her physical abilities, making it difficult to do some of the things she once enjoyed.
“You are all going to grow up and be like me. Look at the way I am walking now. There was a time when I could stand in my high heels, walk and dance, but look at me now. So this is life,” she said.
Her words have sparked emotional reactions online, with many people expressing concern while also reflecting on the inevitable realities of growing old.
