Entertainment promoter Promoter Koolic has shared his thoughts on the ongoing public misunderstanding involving TikTok star Asantewaa and her brother, calling for calm and expressing confidence that the family will eventually find peace.
According to Promoter Koolic, his opinion is not based on social media speculation but on a lifelong connection with the family.
They all grew up in the same neighborhood where I was raised, Iron City in Kasoa. Their house was only about a five-minute walk from mine, so I watched Asantewaa and her siblings grow up. I've known them since they were children, having seen them grow up right before my eyes.
He explained that the family was widely known in the community for their close relationship, which is why the current situation has been difficult for him to watch.
Growing up, they were very close. They genuinely loved and supported one another, so seeing everything unfold publicly is heartbreaking. People on social media only know what's happening now, but some of us knew them long before the fame.
Promoter Koolic also revealed that his relationship with the family went beyond simply living in the same neighborhood. He recalled being one of the earliest writers to publicly introduce Asantewaa when she began her acting career.
As far as I can remember, I was one of the first publicists to write about Asantewaa when she entered the movie industry. A close friend of mine, renowned movie director Famous De Legend of Famous Films, together with Ebenezer Agyeman, contacted me to write a feature on their new actress, and that actress was Asantewaa. I may not remember the exact year, but I clearly remember writing one of her first published articles.
He also spoke about his relationship with her brother, Kay Verli, saying he knew him well during his school days.
I even taught Kay Verli at one point. He attended the same school where my sister was teaching, and there were times he brought his schoolwork to my house for guidance. That's why I can confidently say I know both of them very well.
While the disagreement has become a major topic online, Promoter Koolic believes the intense attention from social media has made the situation more difficult than it needed to be.
I'm not here to take anybody's side. Families go through misunderstandings all the time. The difference is that this one became public because they're well-known. Social media pressure can make personal issues look much bigger and make reconciliation even harder.
Despite everything that has happened, he remains hopeful that the family will resolve their differences.
Knowing the kind of bond they shared growing up, I honestly believe this is something they can overcome. I don't see this as the end of their relationship. I believe they will talk, forgive each other, and move forward.
Promoter Koolic also urged the public to show compassion rather than fuel the controversy.
Behind every trending story are real people with real emotions. Instead of adding more pressure, let's hope they find peace as a family. Sometimes the greatest victory isn't winning an argument it's restoring a relationship.
As conversations surrounding Asantewaa and her family continue across social media, Promoter Koolic hopes the public will remember that fame does not remove the importance of family, forgiveness, and understanding.
For him, this is more than just another trending story. It is about people he has known since childhood, and his greatest hope is to see the family reunited once again. This version reads like a professional feature published by a major Ghanaian entertainment outlet while preserving your personal experience and keeping the tone balanced and credible.
