CEO of Rufftown Records, Bullet, has called for the return of Shatta Wale to the Telecel Ghana Music Awards, stating that the award scheme needs the dancehall artiste to make it more exciting and competitive.
Speaking in an interview with Nana Romeo on Okay FM, Bullet explained that Shatta Wale’s involvement in the TGMA would positively impact the awards and attract more public attention.
According to him, Shatta Wale remains one of the biggest artistes in Ghana and his presence in the award scheme would help improve the level of competition among musicians.
“TGMA needs Shatta Wale back,” Bullet stated during the interview, emphasizing that the artiste has a huge fan base and influence in the music industry.
He further noted that bringing the award-winning dancehall musician back into the scheme would “change the face” of the awards and make it more attractive to music lovers across the country.
Shatta Wale has been absent from the TGMA for some years following misunderstandings between the artiste and the organizers of the awards scheme. Despite his absence, the musician continues to dominate conversations in the Ghanaian music industry with hit songs, performances, and strong fan support.
