GLITZ and glamour characterised the opening of a new VIP private clubbing section and the relocation of Monte Carlo Forever Fashion House last Friday at the Monte Carlo Grand Cafe in Labone, Accra.
Perhaps none of the guests appeared as glamorous as the CEO of Monte Carlo, the hostess, Sally Kanbonaba Kleyn who dazzled everyone with her usual exquisite looks.
Monte Carlo Grand Cafe, Accra's premier exotic bar, restaurant and night club has been in existence for a little over a year. A new modern bar known as Monaco Avenue was commissioned about three months ago.
Last Friday's event was the icing on the cake when management added the grand opening of a new VIP private clubbing section to their club as well as the relocation of the Monte Carlo Forever Fashion House from the Osu Oxford Street to the new exclusive and expanded premises at Labone.
Little wonder the theme for the function was “Monte Carlo Under One Roof.” The slogan of Monte Carlo is “We don't make the party, we are the party,” and this was clearly exhibited at the event.
Niibi Ayibonte, who delivered the keynote address on behalf of the Minister of Information and National Orientation, congratulated Sally for her contribution to the tourism industry saying that the theme was apt for what the new Monte Carlo stands for.
“It is a great idea for making it convenient for people to do everything at one location,” he noted.
Mr Ayibonte described Monte Carlo as the place to be for managers and executives to reduce stress adding that dancing is a good exercise. He recommended the venue to Ministers of State and Members of Parliament, “all who desire good rest and entertainment must make it a point to visit Monte Carlo.”
On her part, CEO Sally thanked the guests for making it to the event at such short notice.
“In Monte Carlo's quest to contribute to the economic growth of this country and also be at the forefront of Ghana's tourism and hospitality industry, we have gathered here again today to add more facilities to our existing ones.”
“Management took the decision to bring all sections of Monte Carlo under one roof to satisfy the growing demands of our clientele. From now onwards any one who walks into Monte Carlo Grand Cafe's premises experiences not only tasty Ghanaian and Continental dishes and an exotic bar, but can also shop for the world's finest designer clothes and accessories,” she said.
She added that facilities at Monte Carlo Grand Cafe are comparable to any of its kind anywhere in the world, “our new VIP section boasts of luxurious world class facilities and designs which are in taste from French antiques while the fashion house is stocked with all the designer clothes and accessories one can think of. Our staff are well trained and motivated to offer the best of services to our numerous patrons.”
Sally impressed on well-to-do Ghanaians in the Diaspora to invest at home and help create employment for the youth.
Names of various star personalities have been embossed in marble stone on the floor, from the entrance of the premises among whom are Ghanaian actresses Kalsoume Sinare Baffoe and Jackie Appiah as well as Togolese International football star Emmanuel Adebayor.
This, Sally said, was done to honour and celebrate stars who have visited the place at various times, “we hope to add more names as time goes on.”
She thanked her husband for his continuous support in all her endeavours, their numerous clients for their patronage and ended it all with a promise.
“We at Monte Carlo pledge to continue to provide quality entertainment and convenient shopping in a peaceful and serene atmosphere and help push the country's tourism drive forward.”
