The founder, president and head pastor of The World Changers Nation, Pastor Prince Ahensah, and his wife, Maybel Ahensah, are at the centre of the alleged passport-for-sale scandal following a petition they submitted to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
According to information gathered by MyNewsGh.com, the couple allegedly paid a sum of money in foreign currency with the expectation of receiving service passports and a United States visa.
While the service passports were reportedly issued, the promised US visa was not secured, prompting the couple to petition the ministry after repeated attempts to obtain it proved unsuccessful.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs has reportedly confirmed that the Service Passports, bearing numbers SX060467 and SX0604687, were issued to the couple on May 28, 2026.
The Ministry also confirmed earlier reports that the Acting Director of Passports, Mahama Yahaya Amantana, and a junior officer had been interdicted in connection with the alleged scheme.
The matter has since been referred to the Ghana Police Service for further investigations and possible prosecution.
The development follows the establishment of a five-member investigative committee by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs on October 13, 2026, to investigate allegations of irregularities in the issuance of Service Passports.
The committee is chaired by Ambassador Alexander Grant, with Ambassador Francis Danti Kotia, Madam Caroline Oppong Ntiri, Jeswuni Abudu, Audrey Abayage and Nana Yaa Wadee serving as members.
