Ghanaian Afrobeats singer Kelvin Boy has noted that his smash hit track ‘Down Flat’ changed his life.
According to him, all the songs he released before the hit track only gave him money that could put food on his table.
“All my songs before Down Flat made sure there was food on the table but Down Flat changed my fucking life. But you knew that,” he wrote via X on Friday, February 2.
Kelvyn Boy's song "Down Flat", released in 2022, achieved some success upon its release.
The song made its way onto Billboard's Top 50 Afrobeats Songs Chart, alongside other major afrobeats artists like Wizkid, Tems, Davido, Fireboy DML, and many others.
“Down Flat" also became a worldwide hit, topping trends on TikTok and other social media platforms.
Later, Kelvyn Boy released a remix of what he described as his biggest song yet.
The "Down Flat" remix featured Nigerian star Tekno and Jamaican musician Stefflon Don.
