People called me Ashawo when I married my husband — Kafui Danku reveals

Actress and movie producer Kafui Danku has revealed what Ghanaians branded her as a prostitute when she got married to her husband.

According to the gender advocate, she indicated that her marriage came as a blessing while Ghanaians branded her as a gold digger who is only just after the man’s money.

She noted that it had been, “a blessing even though people say it’s because of the man’s wealth.”

Kafui added that she has been called “ashawo and gold digger” for marrying an old man.

She added that she has been with men of her age and there was nothing to write home about.

She stated that she has positioned herself mentally not to let such statements get to her because according to her, she married early and to a mature man.
