Ghanaian media personality Afia Schwarzenegger has congratulated complainants of the ongoing court hearing of Akuapem Poloo.

According to her, Child Rights International's action is a step in the right direction as she believes it will benefit the socialite's son who is the center of the ongoing brouhaha.

"I do not speak on issues already in court and clearly this is not my business but I am just congratulating the Child Right International for their action that for once someone has risen to defend the rights of a child," she was speaking in an interview on Accra based radio station Okay FM.

Speaking on the ongoing social media campaign, the #FreeAkuapemPoloo she expressed that celebrities engaging in the campaign were ignorant of the fact that the nation is governed by laws and failed to know that the accused was wrong by exposing her son to nudity.

"Is it fair to take a nude picture with your own child, I honestly don't want to talk about this and I have taken a stand with the Child Rights International and not people who are ignorant of the law and have taken to social media to campaign on herself," she stated.

This comes after Brown celebrated her son’s seventh birthday in June and took pictures with him while she was nude and the son half-naked, and posted the pictures on her Instagram page which went viral on social media.

A write-up accompanying the picture read: “I am naked in front of you because this is how naked I was giving birth to you, so in case you find me lying somewhere, don’t pass by, but see me as your mom who brought you to life”.

The pictures attracted comments, and the prosecution said the behaviour of the accused person undermined the dignity of her son, among others.

The court will now sentence her on her own plea, but as a requirement by law, the court had to be sure of her state as a woman, hence an order for a pregnancy test to be conducted to ensure that she was not pregnant.

Elsewhere today on Peace FM, mother of the accused shed uncontrollable as she pleaded with authorities to have mercy on her daughter in an interview with host of Entertainment Review, Kwesi Aboagye.
