Nollywood actor Frederick Leonard has come under renewed public scrutiny after his estranged wife, Peggy Ovire, took to social media with fresh allegations amid their ongoing divorce.
In a series of posts shared on her Instagram Story on Tuesday, Ovire accused Leonard of being romantically involved with a married woman and urged him to appear before a customary court on June 23 for the next hearing in their divorce proceedings.
She also shared a video of Leonard with the woman in question, insisting the lady is married and alleging that the actor has repeatedly failed to honour court summons after being served with divorce papers.
According to Ovire, Leonard himself requested the divorce but did not show up for a previous hearing, choosing instead to be represented by his lawyer. She claimed to have evidence supporting her accusations and vowed to present it in court.
The actress further alleged that the woman involved is a mother of four and accused Leonard of publicly denying the claims despite being aware of the details contained in her petition.
Frederick Leonard has not yet responded publicly to the latest allegations. The claims remain unverified, and the actor has not issued any statement addressing the matter.
The divorce case is expected to resume on June 23.
