Spotlight - Rasbobo, Best Male Artiste of The Year, AfroentertainmentAwards 2011

Rasbobo, A Ghanaian Hip-Hop/Hiplife Star from Columbus, Ohio won The Best Male Artiste of Year category on October 8th 2011 in Chicago, IL. This is the first annual Awards in Chicago IL, USA and it was organize by www.afroentertainment awards.com and www.jahghana.com.

Speaking from his base in Columbus, Ohio, he said; “I really appreciate them for doing a great job in the USA. “I really wanna ask God to bless them for putting these awards together and helping underground rappers here in USA. I also give thanks to all the artistes who also got nominated in the same category as Best Male Artist of the Year. I want to express my gratitude to all my fans all over the world for voting for me day and night on Facebook and helping me win this award. I appreciate them a lot and May God Almighty bless them to achieve their goals. I would like to give thanks to my family for their support and also to all my Image Records new artistes who also supported me in winning this award. May God bless you all".

Before he got nominated, Rasbobo was touring in Europe and when he logged on Facebook chatting with one of his DJs; Boogie Down Nima in Chicago, and he was asked; “Do you know that you got nominated as Best Male Artist of the Year and he asked; “Is it for real?”, and the DJ said “hell yea….. You can go to afroentertainmentawards.com and check it out. I went to the website and found out that it was true and voting had already started 5 days earlier. I told my fans on facebook to vote for me and they all did a marvelous job. I give thanks to the most high God who helps me day and night to win my very first award. I really appreciate him a lot because without God, without my fans and without my family who is Rasbobo? I am nothing without these people so I really give thanks to everyone who supported me in this award. When I toured in Europe, I performed in Italy, Paris, France and Barcelona, Spain".

The European tour took 2 months and it was his first European tour which became a success. While in Europe, the Best male artiste of the year had the opportunity of performing on the same stage with some of the best stars from world's best music superstars from Europe and US.

Rasbobo while busy touring wrote new songs and shot videos with some of the stars he met. A new music video is coming out soon.
