Head Coach for Ghana’s Black Stars B team, Maxwell Konadu has named his final 21-man squad for the 2019 edition of the WAFU Cup of Nations tournament which commences this weekend.
The team has been in camp for the past month preparing for the tournament which is played by national teams from West Africa comprising of players that ply their trade in their respective local leagues.
Following several friendly matches on top of intensive training sessions, Coach Maxwell Konadu has finally come out with the 21-man squad that he believes can successfully defend the title Ghana won 2 years ago.
Whiles the team is made up of top players, it is missing Hearts of Oak’s Manaf Umar and Karela United’s Diawisie Taylor who were outstanding during the Normalization Committee Special Committee.
Meanwhile, the Black Stars B team is expected to depart Ghana for Senegal on Sunday and will play their first match of the tournament on Tuesday, October 1, 2019, against their counterpart from Gambia.
