Indian Club Churchill Brothers have appointed former Hearts of Oak and Black Stars goalkeeper Edward Ansah as their new head coach ahead of the 2019/2020 National Football League (NFL) season.
The Ghanaian International is a former player for the Indian side where he spent well over 4 seasons having joined them in 1999. He was a key member of the side during his playing days where he managed to help them win the league in 2003.
In a Twitter post by the club, they have confirmed that Coach Edward Ansah has been appointed as their substantive manger ahead of the upcoming league season.
“Former Ghana goalkeeper’s coach Edward Ansah has joined Indian side Churchill Brothers FC as the substantive manager. We from the entire Churchill Brothers family are very glad to announce him as our new manager for the upcoming season”, the Goa-based club shared on their twitter handle.
The 56-year-old has a lot of coaching experience having worked with top coaches like Burkhard Ziesse, Mariano Baretto, Claude Le Roy, Milovan Rajevac as well as Goran Stevanovic.
