Fernando David Saucedo (born 13 January 1981) commonly known as David Saucedo is an Argentina professional boxer. He also loves to be called El Vasco

His father was also a boxer and is now his coach. They come from Florencio Varela, Buenos Aires, Argentina.

The 36 years old boxer is 5′ 7½″ / 171cm in height and has a reach of 66½″ / 169cm.

On December 5, 2010, Saucedo had his chance for WBA (Super) featherweight title against Chris John. But he was defeated by Unanimous Decision after 12 rounds.

On October 4, 2014, Saucedo was defeated by Unanimous Decision after 12 rounds against unbeaten Rances Barthelemy in his first defence of IBF super featherweight title.

He stands the orthodox way to box and has a massive 70 fights, 61 wins, 10 by way of knock out, 6 losses and 3 draws.

He is one of the admired boxers in Argentina that is why he has many promotional fights.

Coming to Africa to fight for Tagoe’s title is a huge risk to take, but Fernando believes in himself and with the two of them in the ring, he does not fear to fight in the opponent’s home.

He has fought mostly in Argentina, but boxing has taken him to rings in the USA, Australia, Indonesia, Brazil and now coming to Bukom, Accra, Ghana in Africa, the land of great boxers, where boxing is a culture.

His experience and the youthful exuberance of Tagoe are what the experts are going to rely on to see who is who in the IBO title defence match at the Bukom Boxing Arena on January 27, 2018.
