Accra, Sept. 19, GNA - Ascoli Picchio defender Bright Addae has congratulated his former Club Wa All Stars for clinching the 2015/2016 Ghana Premier League (GPL) title for the first time.
All Stars, were crowned Champions after finishing the League with 51 points. The Wa based club won 15 games, drew six and lost nine to pocket the USD 30,000 prize money and a trophy.
Coach Enos Adepa and his team defeated league contenders Aduana Stars 2-1 in their match day 29 to seal their win.
Addae, who was instrumental in All Stars qualification to the GPL in 2009 applauded the team for the feat chalked.
'I will like to congratulate my former club Wa All Stars for winning the Premier League this season. It's not easy to win the title, because there are very good teams and for them to win ahead of the likes of Hearts and Kotoko then, they need commendation''.
He added that 'They have done well and as a former player of the team I will like to applaud them'.
The 25-year-old was a member of the U20 National team that won Gold in Egypt 2009.
