Former Black Stars winger Quincy Owusu-Abeyie has signed a one-year deal with Dutch Eredivisie side NEC Nijmegen.
The 30-year-old was handed a deal after successful trial session which saw him score in a pre-season match.
"After a successful period in which we assessed Quincy for two weeks, we are pleased that we have reached an agreement,' technical manager Danny Hoekman said.
' He is motivated to get started in the Eredivisie, and for us it is a welcome reinforcement in the attack because has gained much experience in various football countries."
Abeyie began his professional career in the youth of Ajax and signed with Arsenal in 2002 where he played a total of three years.
Thereafter, the winger was still out for Spartak Moscow, Celta Vigo, Birmingham City, Cardiff City, Portsmouth FC, Al-Sadd, Malaga CF, Panathinaikos and Boavista.
Abeyie played for Netherlands as a youth international before switching nationality to represent Ghana where he earned 18 caps and played at the 2010 World Cup finals.
