Ghanaian defender Jonathan Mensah has failed to recover from an injury sustained on international duty and will be absent from the French Ligue 2 this weekend.
The Black Stars defender had to be substituted in Ghana's FIFA World Cup qualifier against Comoros at the Baba Yara Stadium on Tuesday, a game his side eventually won by two goals to nil.
Despite the injury reported not serious as earlier imagined, the Ghana international has not made full recovery and will sit out when his Evian Thonon Gaillard side travel to play Tours on Friday night.
The defender was not named in the 17 players who made the trip.
