The founder of the infamous Azorka Boys, a group associated with the National Democratic Congress (NDC), Chief Sofo Awudu Azorka, has described the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP’s) First Vice Chairman, Kojo Fosu Boadu, popularly known as ‘Kojo Bamba’, as a small boy.

He wondered why people were comparing him to Azorka, who has carved a niche for himself in politics with organisational skills, and where the original Bamba is now.

Kojo Bamba’s election has become a major talking point, with some observers suggesting his charisma could make him a formidable force against NDC vigilante groups like the Azorka Boys in the 2028 general election.

Chief Azorka, while responding to the election of Kojo Fosu Boadu, popularly known as Kojo “Bamba as the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) First National Vice Chairman and the accompanying commentary, said the NDC was not worried about Bamba’s election.

“Bamba is a small boy. Have you ever known Azorka to fear anybody? We in the NDC are not worried about this small boy. We have more important things to worry about,” he said.

He also claimed that a former National Organiser of NPP, Moctar Bamba, the original Bamba, had previously threatened to establish a group called the Bamba Boys to counter the Azorka Boys, and that the group had since collapsed.

“He said he was going to create the Bamba Boys to counter the Azorka Boys, but if I may ask, where are the Bamba Boys? They have collapsed,” he said.

“Anytime you hear about the Azorka Boys, it is about winning elections. After the election, we go back to being silent,” he said in an interview.

His success over several prominent NPP politicians could be viewed not as a sign of the party's strength but rather as evidence of its internal challenges and leadership crisis. If ther...
