
Accra New Town will face Madina in the preliminary round of the inaugural Ramadam Cup which commences on Saturday at the Wembley Park in Kotobabi.
The competition which involved eight Zongo communities is being put together to climax the Eid-al Fitr Festivities.
The tournament was launched at the headquarters of the Ghana FA on Tuesday by representatives of the National Chief Imam after which the preliminary draw and pairings for the semi final matches were made.
Sabon Zongo will take on Darkuman in the opening game of the tournament after which New Fadama will face Ashaiman.
The final preliminary match will see Alajo lock horns with Nima.
Winners of Match one and two will square off against each other in the semi finals with the second semi finals involving winners of Match three and four for a place in the grand finale.
The newly designed trophy up for grabs in the tournament has been named after the National Chief Imam Sheikh Nuhu Shaributu under whose auspices the tournament is being put together by Crisp Communications.
The tournament is also aimed at promoting unity and peaceful co-existence among both Muslem and non-Muslem youth within the participating communities.
