Avram Grant says he went into the dressing room early in the first half of Ghana’s 2017 AFCON qualifier against Mauritius to take his medication.
The 60-year-old revealed he wasn’t feeling well ahead of Ghana’s thumping 7-1 win over Mauritius on Sunday in Accra.
Grant was seen heading into the dressing room soon after Ghana took a 4-0 lead in the first half.
He returned moments later to the solitary concession of his team in the massive win.
Grant’s brief disappearances on the touchline raised some concerns amongst many at the game with some predicting he went to take a piss.
But the former Chelsea boss revealed he had to go take his medication over an unspecified illness in the heat of the game.
'I didn't feel good since last night so when it got to 4-0 I forgot my medicine and I went to take it for one minute and I came back,' he said after the game.
'But I am ok, not a 100 percent but I am ok.'
