Ghanaian winger Ernest Asante scored and assisted a goal for Stabaek as they posted a slim 3-2 victory over Bodø / Glimt in the Norwegian Eliteserien on Sunday afternoon.
The 26-year-old former Manchester United triallist scored in the 59th minute before setting up his team-mate Giorgi Gorozia for what happened to be the match winner for Stabaek.
Asante who had returned from injury in mid-week scored, played an increasingly influential role in the tie as he reclaimed his starting berth in Bob Bradley’s squad for the game, starting alongside Ghanaian midfielder Issah Kamal in midfield.
The 59th minute strike which pecked the visitors was a goal of his true patent as he laced his way well through the backline to finish off a move before providing his fourth assist of the season.
Asante has now scored six goals in twelve league games for Stabaek while he still has an impressive scoring run in the Norwegian Cup.
