-A total of 68 goals were scored after 32 matches played in the 2015 AFCON, representing an average of 2.13. The goals scored are one goal short of the 2013 AFCON staged in South Africa. The highest number of goals scored in a single AFCON competition still stands at 99 in 2008.

-The Frenchman, Herve Renard became the first coach to win the AFCON with 2 different countries; won in 2012 with Zambia and 2015 with Ivory Coast.

-Ghana became the first country to reach 9 AFCON grand finales, but have failed in 5 finals, which is the worst by any country in the competition's history.

-Again Ghana became the second country to lose all their last 3 AFCON grand finales, after losing Sunday's final to equal Nigeria's infamous feat. Nigeria lost the final in 1984, 1988 and 1990, while Ghana lost it in 1992, 2010 and 2015.

GHANA,-AFRICA'S FINEST It's a shame.It's painful but again soccer is not math/science where proof justifies results.The men played gallantly.They represented Ghana so well.n.They deserve a heroes welcome.We are proud of you.Dont slum.
