Ghanaian international Daniel Opare has been ruled out for a minimum of two weeks after sustaining an injury during his side's goalless draw with Caykur Rizespor in the Turkish Cup.
The full-back sustained a first degree hamstrig tear in his left leg, which was confirmed by Besiktas on their official website.
This means Opare is a major doubt for Besiktas' Europa League tie against Liverpool, which would be played over February 19 and 26, 2015.
Daniel Opare suffered a similar fate after completing his transfer from Standard Liege to FC Porto, and was forced out of Ghana's AFCON qualifiers squad in August.
Besiktas signed Opare on a loan, keeping him at at the club until the end of the season. The Istanbul based club also have an option to sign Opare however, the fee has not been disclosed.
