Ghana forward Kevin-Prince Boateng has congratulated his brother Jerome on winning the German top flight title with Bayern Munich.
The champions retained their Bundesliga title in record-breaking time with a 3-1 win over Hertha Berlin on Tuesday, and are well on course to smash the German points record.
With seven games remaining, Bayern could end up with 98 points if they win every game, with the record standing at 91 points from last term.
The German giants have also beaten their record from last season, where they won the salad bowl with six games left.
Goals from Toni Kroos, Mario Gotze and substitute Franck Ribery secured the victory, with Borussia Dortmund drawing with Schalke.
Bayern have now won the Bundeliga for the 23 rd time – a source of personal delight and pride for Schalke's Ghanaian star Kevin-Prince Boateng whose half brother, Jerome featured prominently for the Bavarians.
“Congrats to my brother for winning the Bundesliga 2013/2014…proud of you [Jerome],” the Black Stars forward tweeted.
Bayern can now fully focus on their Champions League clash against struggling Manchester United with the domestic title nicely wrapped up.
Kevin is however likely to play against his triumphant brother once more again when Ghana face Germany at the group stage of the 2014 World Cup in Brazil.
