Ghana won her fourth medal at the ongoing Commonwealth games in India when the women's 4x100 relay team grabbed silver behind England Tuesday.
Ghana's quartet of Janet Amponsah, Beatrice Gyamang, Elizebeth Amolofo and Rosina Amenebede finished in a time of 45.24 secs.
England also won gold in the male 4x100 meter final which Ghana failed to qualify for.
Meanwhile the government has stepped in to assure the national amputee team that it will provide the needed funding for it to attend the world championship this week after the team almost missed out.
The amputee team struggled to raise 80,000 Ghana Cedis to travel to Argentina and Joy Sports' regular reports on the team's worries prompted government to intervene.
Team manager Adjetey Sowah has told Joy Sports government is providing the funds for the trip despite initial neglect from the National Sports Council.
The team will leave Accra for Argentina on Thursday after meeting with President Mills.
