Cape Coast, Sept. 26, GNA - Accra Ghatel Ladies played a spirited game to beat their Cape Coast counterparts 3-2 in the semi final of the Zone Three Ghana Football Association's Women Zonal Championship played at the Robert Mensah Stadium, Cape Coast on Saturday.
With the victory, Accra Ghatel Ladies will thus meet Winneba Soccer Intellectuals who drew 0-0 with La Ladies to top the Group Two League Table with five points.
Accra Ghatel Ladies from the onset dictated the pace and came close to scoring but their midfielder Florence Okoe failed to utilize the chances.
However, against the run of play, Cape Coast Ghatel Ladies scored the opener from inside right Mary Baidoo in the 18th minute but the visitors leveled up through Diana Ankomah before half time.
Back from recess, Accra Ghatel Ladies increased the tally to 2-1 when Okoe made amends in 58th minute but again Cape Coast Ghatel Ladies restored parity through Florence Yusif on the hour-mark.
The game then became a ding-dong affair but when things were pointing to a draw, Ankomah capitalized on a defensive blunder on the 74th minute to score the match winner.
