London, Friday 10th September, 2010. BBC World Service's flagship sports programme Sportsworldwill offer live coverage of the World Basketball Final from Istanbul, Turkey on Sunday 12 September 2010 at 1930 BST at bbcworldservice.com.
The programme will be streamed live online and presented by BBC World Service'sAlex Capstick. Commentary will come from the BBC World Service basketball commentator Chris Mitchell alongside Nick Gibson, a US-based basketball writer.
BBC World Service has recently introduced a new weekly basketball feature - World Basketball - within Sportsworld.
BBC World Service was granted online commentary rights of the 2010 FIBA World Championships in Turkey by the International Basketball Federation (FIBA).
