Hearts of Oak have appointed Egyptian Ayman El Yamani as their new head coach after properly sieving applications.
The former Swaziland coach takes immediate charge ahead of the start of the new season next month.
Details of his contract are sketchy but the former Zamalek player is expected to revive the league champions, who were unimpressive towards the end of the season.
El Yamani replaces Serbian trainer Kosta Papic whose contract with the Phobians was terminated with eight matches to end last season's campaign.
He handled the Swaziland national team in 2006 and has been in Ghana for sometime now monitoring his personnel and coached Kuwaiti side Al Sahel.
"This follows the acceptance of the report of its(Board's) subcommittee that received and considered applications for the position," Hearts board secretary Ernest Thompson.
The club have taken a bold step despite calls by their supporters umbrella body kicking against the naming of an expatriate coach.
