Former Ghana youth international Emmanuel Boakye has signed a two-year deal with Dutch side Sparta Rotterdam.
The 24-year-old right-back played for Heracles Almelo for three seasons where he made 75 appearances.
Sparta placed 13th in the just concluded Eredivisie season and have targeted to improve next term.
Boakye also played at giants Ajax Amsterdam from 2005-2007 but handed in a loan request and joined Heracles.
He played for Ghana's Olympic team that missed out on qualifying to the 2008 summer Olympic Games in Beijing.
