Aduana FC coach Samuel Boadu charged by GFA over gestures towards Kotoko fans

Aduana FC head coach Samuel Boadu has been charged by the Ghana Football Association (GFA) over his conduct during his side’s 2-0 victory over Asante Kotoko in the Ghana Premier League.

The GFA said Boadu has been charged with breaching Article 34(6)(a) of the Ghana Premier League Regulations, 2025.

The charge relates to alleged improper and provocative gestures directed at sections of the Asante Kotoko supporters during the match at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Boadu was seen reacting towards the home supporters after Aduana secured an impressive away victory, with his actions subsequently attracting the attention of the GFA’s disciplinary authorities.

The association has formally notified the coach of the charge and given him until Wednesday, September 30, 2026, to submit his response.

The disciplinary case comes just days after Boadu led Aduana to one of their most notable results of the season.

The Fire Club defeated Kotoko 2-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium in the Matchday Four game, securing their first league victory over the Porcupine Warriors since 2021.

Stephen Amankona opened the scoring after capitalising on an error by Kotoko goalkeeper Danlad Ibrahim.

Seidu Saana then sealed the victory with a late counter-attacking finish as Aduana completed a memorable away win.

The victory moved Aduana FC to seven points from their opening four matches of the 2026/27 Ghana Premier League season, while Kotoko suffered their first defeat of the campaign.
